Also just to add to this. I had very little down time, I went on a Saturday morning, I looked red and swollen for 2 days rather bad....stayed home. By Monday I was wearing foundation and very few people noticed anything, just that I looked a bit swollen, which makes the skin look nice ans it pushes out the scarring. But as I am a thin person, when the swelling goes down, the scarring holes are back, ok that after 1 treatment. I just have a concern regarding the long term, is this laser not maybe damaging the skin that in 5 years time we will hear how terrible Fraxil really was (like one so many times hears only AFTER years of a procedure), and to wake up and find you have a lumpy, sagging worse damage to the actual inner layers of the skin.........that is my concern now?

I had my 1st Fraxil treatment on the 13 March. This was for old acne scars, pitted scars and enlarged rough looking skin. I had for the 1st 2 weeks a swollen face, red like a sunburn, but make up covered very well, and a sandpaper feel to the skin. I just have a concern regarding my rough textured skin and enlarged pores, will Fraxil really be able to minimize this with at least 5 treatments, as well as build collagen to give a more healthy look to the skin, as the doctor told me that people who have had acne seem to age quicker than those who never had as the skin with time looks battered and rough, yes the good part is there are fewer wrinkles due to it having been an oily skin, but I'd rather go for a lovely taught, fine pored skin with wrinkles, than what I have, a rough, large pored, acne pitted skin that is sagging around the jawline. Can Fraxil really also cause the skin to firm up due to collagen being restored and rebuilt?? I have heard of the roller needling process which according to some is cheaper and better for the skin in the long run...how true is this. Can any Plastic surgeon or Dermatologist respond to this question. And what is the take on having "mini facelift" in the Surgeons rooms? Please anyone who has had this experience, let me know.
